The mission of the African Methodist Episcopal Church International Health Commission is to promote optimal health as a part of faith and to care for AME congregations and the communities they serve by advocating health as a right not a privilege by forming collaborative relationships with, international, national, state, regional, county or city health programs as well as health associations and community agencies; to empower congregations to advocate for improved access to affordable health care for all; to provide Health Education and identify health resources; to assist with first aid for Connectional Meetings as needed; and to collaborate with Ecumenical Health Projects.
